Homecoming

Finally I get to start a blog with exciting news and not depressing news! Kelsie won homecoming queen, or princess as Ashlyn calls it! Kelsie looked very grown-up and gorgeous like always. Prior to actually winning the crown, all the senior girls got to take pictures with the crown. The photographer, Ms.Lori from Moments, thought the indoor picture of the winner would make a better yearbook picture, rather than outside on the football field where the winner would be announced. Ashlyn couldn't stand watching all the girls getting to take pictures with the crown, so Ms.Lori let Ashlyn take a picture with the crown on as well. Ashlyn keeps asking if she can be in another princess competition, so I guess I am going to have to find her one.

On Saturday John, Laura, Evan, Josh, and I all went to Harvest Homecoming. I wanted to take Ashlyn, but she chose to go to a wedding with her Mamaw Kris instead. Once I got to Harvest Homecoming I realized I saved a lot of money by not taking Ashlyn. I didn't have to buy light up swords, bubble guns, or cheap stuffed animals that are all way overpriced. We didn't see anything that really caught our eye to buy, except for homemade ice-cream and apple cobbler. I also treated myself to some homemade chicken and dumplings, yum!
Saturday night after we got home I realized that Princess was not acting herself. She was trying to pee on everything in my house! At first I thought I was going to kill her for trying to pee on my floor, but then I realized she wasn't even peeing she was just straining to pee. I checked her litter box and there was very little pee present, that's when I knew something was wrong. Since Josh had to go to work on Sunday morning, I called my mom and we took Princess to the animal ER. Of course the closest one was out past the airport on outer loop. Luckily Princess didn't have to have surgery and was just placed on antibiotics and pain medicine. It took Princess a few days, but today I noticed that she is pretty much back to herself. Thank goodness I am not sure what I would do if I lost Princess.
Ashlyn got her Halloween costume in the mail today! She looks super cute as a little Tinker Bell! Tomorrow we are going trick or treating at the zoo, I heard it is insanely crowded so wish us luck. We have never been before, so Ashlyn is quite excited about it.
On Saturday I have my first 31 party. I am excited and a little nervous! I am just hoping that they don't have too many questions, I am afraid I won't know the answers! I went with my team leader on Saturday to watch her run a party, it seemed pretty easy so I think I will be fine. Hopefully I get lots of orders so that Santa has some extra Christmas money! Not that Santa needs to bring Ashlyn any more toys, lord knows she has enough to start her own toy store.
