Ashlyn and I had such a busy day today. We started out by running errands at Walmart, and you can gurantee you are going to run into at least 1 person you know when you go to Walmart. That is exactly what happened to Ashlyn and I! As Ashlyn was going through the toy isle telling me everything she wished Santa would bring her this year we hear a little voice yelling, "Ashlyn." As we ventured toward the voice Ashlyn got a big suprise when it was her friend Victoria from school. Ashlyn was over joyed with excitment and I couldn't tell her no when she asked if Victoria could come home with us. So today Ashlyn had her first ever preschool play date. The girls played very well together and Ashlyn had a blast.
We had to take Victoria home around 4 because we had to get ready to go to Halloween at the zoo. Ashlyn and Evan looked so cute all dressed up. Ashlyn was the cutest Tinker Bell at the zoo and Evan was the cutest cowboy!
Mamaw Ronda decided to go to the zoo with us. Ashlyn being the spoiled little girl that she is, was given a treat bag from Mamaw Ronda's class. In the treat bag Ashlyn was given fake vampire teeth which she thought were awesome!
I was told the best way to get the zoo was to take the back way in. I do believe that taking Newburg Rd. was not the smartest idea! We had to wait in traffic for probably 15-20 minutes just due to the stoplights on Newburg Road.
When we arrived at the zoo I realized that I couldn't fin d my flip-flops anywhere. I was for sure I had forgotten to wear shoes, since that is definetly something that I would do, but it turned out they were just hidden under the seat. I was very thankful since I was going to have to wear Laura's socks around the zoo. The candy, 12 pieces in all, was not worth the trip, but Ashlyn loved seeing all the characters and getting to take pictures with them all.
Afterwards we were all starving so we decided to stop and get pizza from little ceasers, of course Ashlyn didn't want pizza! Since the princess always get what she wants, we waited in McDonalds parking lot for 20 minutes just for a happy meal! I hope she realizes one day she is a very lucky little girl!
