Although today is technically suppose to be the 1st day of Christmas, Ashlyn got to open a present last night as well. The poor thing had her first stomach bug and she did great with it. Mamaw Kris called about 10 A.M on Sunday morning saying Ashlyn was sick. Ashlyn had threw up all over herself, so Josh and I had to go there and clean her up.
Once we got there Ashlyn seemed to feel better and didn't want to come home just yet. I figured she was fine, but she surprised me by throwing up all day long! She told me when she got home "Mommy I will tell you when I am going to get sick, and you just hold my hair!" I felt horrible for her, but she was a trooper and feels much better today.
The first present Ashlyn got to open was "A Christmas Carol" on DVD. We cuddled up on the couch last night and watched the movie while she was sick. Today we watched the movie two more times, so I am assuming she really likes the movie. Although this movie was originally in the 12 days of Christmas countdown, we aren't counting it anymore and just calling it a get better present.
Today we officially started the 12 days of Christmas. On the first day of Christmas Ashlyn's Mommy and Daddy gave to her.....
A New Pair of Pajamas!
( As you can tell she is feeling much better, and I am so glad she got a bath and no longer smells of vomit!)
