February 2011

Wow, did February fly by or what? I know it is the shortest month of the year, but it almost seemed like we didn't even have a February. We are very excited in the Sawyer household that the weather is warming up quickly. Josh has been golfing already 3 times this year, and Ashlyn wants to go outside everyday! She has been sick for the past week, so we have been trying to keep her inside. She has recently had strep throat, and it seems like she is not getting much better. Hopefully she gets better we leave for Florida in 2 Weeks and her 5th Birthday is in 3 weeks! Ashlyn is by far the worst child I have ever tried to give medicine to. She tops every child at work I have ever encountered! She actually took her 10 day course of antibiotics good one day, and she got to pick out a prize for doing so. We went to Old Navy and she found some balloons to make balloon animals with as her prize. Of course, I then had to learn how to make balloon animals and balloon hats. This is what I came up with.

I made a 2 hats, a monkey,  and a dog

This is suppose to be a monkey!

This is Ashlyn sad because one of her petals on her flower hat popped!

I can't believe she is going to be 5 years old already! My baby is growing up! We had breaking news this weekend, we are no longer having a Justin Bieber birthday party, we are now having a Hello Kitty party.  I went and bought all the Hello Kitty party supplies today. Now I just need to get the invitations together. I was asking her yesterday what she wanted for her birthday, and she can't even name anything she wants. The child has everything, I have no idea what we are going to get her. She did inform me that she is now too big for Disney Princess stuff.
Although Justin Bieber was rejected for Hello Kitty, he still holds a place in Ashlyn's heart. She woke up for school last Friday and was upset that Justin Bieber has a girlfriend. She wanted to look just like Selena Gomez, so that Justin Bieber would like her. I dressed her up in a sparkly shirt, but she informed me it wasn't enough and she wanted black her. I told her she would have to be over 18 before she ever has black hair.
Ashlyn had an exciting Valentine's Day this year. She enjoyed making Valentine's for the all the kids at school. She also enjoyed dressing up in all the heart shirts I had bought her to wear. Josh and I both helped with her school Valentine's Day party.  She was glad that Daddy got to come and help.  Valentine's Day must be a hit with the Dads, because there were tons of Dad's there with their little ones. Only a couple of months left and Ashlyn will be graduating from Wee-Ones and moving on to Kindergarten!

Here is Ashlyn making out her Valentines for her classmates. She is listening to some Justin Bieber as well.
